Preserving the History of the Tabernacle, Aberystwyth
Do you have any photos of Aberystwyth’s Tabernacle Chapel before it was destroyed by fire?
Communities Archive Wales works with community groups across Wales to create digital archives of their history and heritage. CAW has recently established a group on the Image-sharing website Flickr to expand the project to those outside the current community groups. CAW aims to tell the story of Your Wales.
CAW would like to know whether anyone has photographs of the interior of Aberystwyth’s Tabernacle Chapel which was recently destroyed by fire, from any time in its history both recent and past.
CAW would like to preserve both the modern and past history of this landmark building in Aberystwyth, by getting involved with our Flickr group at www.flickr.com/groups/cymru-wales
Anyone who has photos or other images from inside this building’s past are invited to help document the history of the chapel by joining the Flickr group and submit their images so they can become part of the Our Wales community group and the history of Aberystwyth.
You can also see the images from the current CAW community group and the work this project is doing by visiting its main website at www.ourwales.org.
