Culturenet Cymru’s Annual Report has been published and is now available to be read and downloaded.

The report provides an overview of the ways in which Culturenet has been working towards promoting and celebrating the history and heritage of Wales online over the past year, including the development of an innovative new project. To learn more, click here

2007-2008 saw the continued progress of Culturenet’s projects and an increase in those who benefit from the projects. Relationships with a number of new contributors were developed and the position of Gathering the Jewels as Wales’ premier collection of digital images relating to the history of Wales and the Welsh.

With the development of the Community Archives Wales, Culturenet is working with various community groups to increase the use of ICT in those groups and to promote a feeling of pride and of belonging to their community by displaying their area’s history online.
Similarly, From Warfare to Welfare, a project which creates digital stories from the period 1939 to 1959, has brought school pupils and members of the community who remember the period together in a positive and innovative way.
